I plan on checking at Publix in Pensacola for the toll passes just prior to taking the trip in November.

When we leave Disney we will be heading to Jacksonville instead of heading back up to Lake City. Is there a preference for this route? If it makes any difference I will be doing this on a Sunday.

We did I-4 to 95 last July on a Sunday and no issues. It wasn't any worse than other major interstates.

you can pick the transponder...a stick on one that is cheaper but only good for the one vehicle it's on and destructs if removed...or a few bucks more a portable one that can move from vehicle to vehicle. go check pout the website.

I had my days wrong. I will be heading to Jacksonville on a Friday instead of a Sunday.

If you like scenery instead of interstate then maybe you can look at going 27 to 19 through Ocala national Forest then hiway 17 in Palatka where it goes straight up to Jacksonville FL.

Disney

Fort Wilderness is a great way to stay at Disney! It is nice and clean. You will enjoy it.

I do this trip all the time. My first reaction was: Why are you worrying about the cost of tolls when the cost of Disney will cause you to refinance your home? The 4.99 stick on sunpass will pay for itself in reduced costs, ease of driving and less time behind the wheel. When going to Jacksonville just stay on I-4 even though the traffic will be terrible and construction may slow you down. I-4 empties onto I-95. If you are going north of Jacksonville just stay on I-95 and stay off of I-295. Stay in the middle lanes all the way through as there are exits on both sides of the road. Have fun and enjoy yourself at Disney. It makes spending that much money easier somehow.
