Travel app

I would like recommendations for travel apps, not for finding RV parks, more for things to do and places to see. Perhaps something like AAA Travel books only electronic.
Thank you

Hmm... We use a couple of State Park apps that allow you to search by activity. They are published by PocketRanger and are free, although they don't have one for each state yet. I've not seen anything that covers everything that the AAA books cover though...

Trip Advisor has good info on things to do and places to eat.

Take a look at Allstays. We think it is well worth the cost. We use it to find campgrounds, rest areas, Flying J's, etc. You can use their web page for free. We also use rvparkreviews.com extensively but I don't think they have an app yet.

I'll second Trip Advisor, great app to rank attractions, restaurants, and things to do.

Another app I like is History Here by the History channel. It uses the GPS feature of your phone or pad and shows you historically significant places nearby.

History Here — History.com Interactive Games, Maps and Timelines

Have fun out there!

x3 on trip advisor - has reviews as well so you can better judge a "must-see" for you, as opposed to "everyone says"

Bill M, thanks for the advice on the History Here app!

Check out RoadsideAmerica.com They have a plugin for Garmin and TomTom GPS's along with a iPhone app. I am waiting for them to come out with a Android app.
