Hi all,
I'm wondering how the Rt. 12 is from Wallula Wash to Missoula montana. I'm concerned about high elevations or lots of switchbacks along this route.

I like to take roads other than the interstates, but my rig dosen't.

thanks in advance.

Joe

We drove Hwy. 12 across the mountains in Idaho from Missoula to Lewiston in a 21' class C about ten years ago. That's a route I would only do again in a sports car with great handling. I don't think there was a stretch over 1/4 mile that I was not cranking the steering wheel constantly. The scenery was great but the constant turning wore me out.

hi, that is a great drive, just one pass lolo montana their is even a hotsprings to stop and see. in the late 70's i used to haul grain from montana into idaho and wash. the truck and trailers were 85ft long and never had any trouble but not much truck traffic now. very nice drive.
