Traveling 93 in NV
Anybody been down 93 south from Lake Meade / Boulder City, NV area. We are planning to see Hoover Dam, stay in Boulder City then head south to I40 in Kingman, AZ. Read some news about washouts and detours not too great for motorhomes with toads. 40'DP with Honda CRV toad. Thanks

AZ 93 ,Bolder City to Kingman, is part of my planed route south next month , so I'll tag along on your post to see what info comes in.
My alternate would be NV 95 Vegas to Needles.

I haven't traveled it since last fall but it is a major route Phoenix to Las Vegas. I'd think if there were wash outs, etc. they would be quickly repaired. The washouts and detours I remember reading about were on I-15 north of Las Vegas but ???

I was down that route last weekend. No wash-outs or any other issues. It is our preferred route between Havasu and Vegas.

Our kids live in Boulder City and we were there last week. The I-15 was washed out north of Las Vegas, between LV and Mesquite. 93 south to Kingman as dull and boring as ever!!
Nice RV park in Boulder City - Canyon Trails. Run by the Well's family. Very friendly, although not as slick as other Vegas parks.
Spent five years at Hoover Dam as a high scaler - hence my handle. You might have to google "high scalar". We were the modern day guys with nylon ropes and engineered gear. You haven't lived until you go over the parapet wall and think about its 525' to the bottom!!

Nevada highways Kingman to Vegas
We were just on this road last week and actually the week before. We drove to Vegas via Kingman and Hwy 93 and then back on the same route. It's a perfectly fine road, hilly, but they all are out that way. We were in a pickup with a 41 foot 5th wheel and had no problems. Our only complaint is the lack of rest areas in western AZ and also on that particular stretch in Nevada. We have driven this route before and prefer it to going to Laughlin and then Vegas. I believe it was a Flying J right in Kingman where we picked up fuel and there was also a Loves before Kingman which might have been easier to get in (or at least that is what my memory is telling me).
