Hi All -- I could use some help on planning a trip from Spring Hill Fl. to South Jersey. - I'm taking Florida 301 N to US 10 E to US 95 N -- No problem so far, I'll stay on 95 into VA. but I don't want to continue North bound on 95 because I don't want to go through Richmond, Washington. Baltimore -- so -- How do I go ? -- Do I take Sr 58 out of Emporia Va. and go over the Chessapeke Bay Tunnel/ Bridge and up Sr 13 to the Deleware Memorial Bridge or is there a better way ? -- I'm driving a 31 ft Class C and pulling a toad so whatever route has to be RV friendly as to fueling up and such. -- Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello FF,

Looks like you have three options.

A. The CBBT and up 13 as you stated. Except for the toll, it is a nice liesurely drive compared to I-95.

B. US 301 off of I-95 at Exit 104 and up to Annapolis and across the bay on US 50 to US 13. 301 can be a pain depending on the time of day - it skirts the DC suburbs and has a bunch of traffic lights.

C. US 17 off of I-95 at Exit 133 at Fredericksburg to I-81 and the PA Turnpike in to NJ. Longer miles that way.

As I see it, if you don't mind paying the CBBT toll, I prefer the US 13 route.

I agree, the CBBT is the way to go for a leisurely drive.

Nope, but at some time before you get to the toll plaza, stop and turn off the main valve at the propane tank. They'll ask you. If you forget, there is a pull-off area just beyond the toll plaza.
