Traveling out west from SC

My wife and I are planning a trip out west from S.C. And need advice. I tow a 14 ft. Small car hauler with a 2012 Fiat ( total weight 3000# w/ dual axle elec. brake ) with our class A Thor Ace 29.2 V10 unit. Wanting to go across to Mt. Rushmore then over to Yellowstone then over to Spokane or Portland to the 101 down coast to 1 all the way to LA. Area. How are roads, issues towing that would be helpful. Tks

Will you be Camping or RVing?

Sounds like a great trip. I would suggest you go to www.rvbookstore.com and search for Mountain Guides East and West.

Suggest you get streets and trips,[or another planner], and use it to plan a few different routes. Once you have a preliminary plan, then ask about it for details. Otherwise we can give so much info you will be overwhelmed.

When we are in the planning stage and while traveling one of the resources we use is RV Adventures Videos as a reference. We used the DVDs for our trips to Alaska, the South East Coast and our current South West trip. Very informative for travel routes, and highlights area must sees. Also gives info. on RV campgrounds. You can see the DVDs available at:

RV Adventure Videos with John Holod Productions

You can see our travels on our blog: RVGR8escape

Safe travels and THE JOY IS IN THE RIDE.
