Trip Planner Options

Hello

I have looked at several trip planners and read reviews of more on here.

What I am looking for is one that will allow you to drop a PIN at an interesting location along the route that you may want to visit, but is not to be an overnight stop. Do any that you use that the ability to mark a spot like that?

thanks --- Dale

If you have an address or L/L coordinates the CoPilot app will do this. I do this for my fuel stops.

What you suggest is how I have planned excursions for years.

The last version of Street Atlas was 2015, and it could do this and also give suggestions of where to look for a fuel stop and EOD. For stops that might be of interest, I would put in an address book entry and then those show on the map and if a planned route took us in striking range, it was obvious and easy to add the stop and the expected loiter time to the day's travel.

To Bad that Delorme is gone. There will never be a new SA.

What I have always wanted was program that I could put a route in as start and finish and then it would point out stops along the way that I should consider. Not just those Xmiles from the expected track, but maybe 100 miles off if it is a worthwhile stop. I.E. If you are on I-94 between Detroit and Chicago, it should flag both the Kalamazoo Air Zoo and the Gilmore both. We still discover stops that we might have liked.
