What is the best route driving a Class A MotorHome from Georgia to Alamogordo New Mexico in May.

I use streets and trips. It gives options for campgrounds, and many interesting places. There are other trip planners out there, give them a try. You might like them.
otherwise, more info would be nice. do you want to stay on interstates, or by ways. Full hook ups, or just electric.
Good rule of thumb is drive 300 mile, or 3 oclock..whichever comes first.

I start with an Atlas. Then state maps. We use our RV GPS to map out the route. We plan on approx. 340 miles per day. We enjoy the state parks. I order the state park info from each state we will be traveling thru. I know I could app it or Internet it but I like to hold in my hands my maps and campsite info. You do not always have Internet service while traveling.

The Good Sam Trip Planner is awesome..... helps to lay out the route and give you countless options of things to see or do along the route. Then.... look at Google Earth to get close up view of any place you decide to stop.... for fuel.... lunch.... or overnight.

A quick look at Google maps suggest I-20 to Sweetwater Tx then 180 to 82. If you go that route, the last 15 miles (from Cloudcroft to Alamogordo) is a 6% down hill (8600 ft. to 4300 ft.). Just FYI. If you are not comfortable with that, you can go north from Artesia to Roswell and catch US 70. Or, stay on I-20/10 to El Paso then north on 54.

Quickest but likely the most boring is I-20 to I-10 (in Texas) to El Paso then 54 up to Alamogorda.
