Trip south on 395

My wife and I went from Salem Oregon to Yuma (Tue). We had some very strong winds on 395 from Reno area to hyspeiria and ran into a lot of snow. The roads were clear so all we had to fight was the wind. first it pulled my awning loose in the front and we had to strap it down. Then my tip out awning must have caught some air and it billowed up like a sail and the spring tentsion reeled it back in (crooked) it blew towards the back of the coach about a foot. I had to put the slide out and pull the cover forward and then bring it back in. My last issue was it blew the front rubber winshield trim loose and I had to get the duct tape out or pull the whole trim off. We fought the wind the hole day. We stayed Wed in Gardenerville and the wind blew all night. What a ride. Thursday we headed East to Quortsite and found sunshine and no wind. Yea Real nice friendly folks so we are staying today to and heading to Yuma tomorrow. Gotta go, lots of swap meets here.

If your expecting an area with no wind , anywhere in the desert areas, Reno, Vegas, Lake Havasu City, Quartzsite, Phoenix or Yuma ; I'm afraid your in for a rude awakening.
I've wintered in the area for 8 years and when the wind starts, you'd better be ready for it to keep blowing for days on end.
