Trip to Oregon

We are traveling in a 34 ft motorhome also towing.Going North on the 5 from California to Lincoln City Oregon. We are thinking of cutting over from Salem on the 22 to the 18 into Lincoln City;or possibly the 20 over. Any recommendations? Time is somewhat a constraint.

Coming from the South, I would take 20 from Corvallis to Newport then North on 101 to Lincoln City. They have improved 20, and the 101 drive is quite scenic, and a good drive.
