TripAdvisor

Many who enjoy this site have identified a number of other sites they employ in their travels. Thought I'd share one I've started using a lot that I haven't seen referred to here - TripAdvisor. Quick example as to why. Recently, we rode a train in the redwoods. A TripAdvisor contributor suggested parking at the adjacent state park to save on parking and allow a visit to both. It was great advice. It's also very helpful in suggesting which local eatery is not to be missed. It's just great for RV'ers!

I agree, we use TripAdvisor all the time for restaurants and things to do and see. And you do get good advice as you mentioned from other users.

Another site I use is RoadFood.com for restautant recommendations. Its not as easy as TripAdvisor in that it is a forum similar to IRV2.. but it is about restaurants so you do get some good recommendations for the area you are visiting.

We have used Tripadvisor as well. If you read through a collection of reviews you will get a decent overview. As far as RV travel however the assessment is also biased by what some consider elegant and some consider slumming.not a criticism but an observation. Some s families enjoy tents and some want to pull up in their 300-500000 motorhome at a resort.
Reviews vary by expectations.
