US 36 across Missouri

Heading from Indy to Kansas City.

We originally planned on I-70, but looks like lots of construction. Thinking about taking I-74/I-72 to Hannibal and then US-36 across to just north of Kansas City. Can anyone tell me about road conditions or issues along this route?

From Google Earth it looks like 4-lane divided highway in fairly good condition.

Thanks!

We took this route (us-36) this spring. It is a great road, I dont remember any slow downs (lights, city's) along the way. I drove it in a car.

Driven it a couple of times and it is in great condition. If you get time stop at the Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site and take a tour. Well worth the stop.

We've pulled it numerous times, if your wife is a quilter you will have to stop in Hamilton.

We've driven 36 twice in the past 3 weeks. It sure beats I 70. Not nearly the traffic. Hills aren't as bad. Great route for RVs across Missouri.
