US 550?

This Sep/Oct traveling from Abuquerque to Durango, anything I should watch out for? Construction, altitude/grades, gas, CGs....36' gasser towing a Jeep.

US 550 from ABQ to Durango is about as flat as it gets, mostly 4-lane. We've driven it countless times. One of the absolutely GREAT things to see along the way, if you have time, is Chaco Canyon. Breathtaking Anasazi ruins.

Chaco Culture National Historical Park (U.S. National Park Service)

I wouldn't take the coach in there, but with the Jeep, you're all set. Some rough spots in the road along the way. There is a CG in the park, however, it's more for trailers/tents and small RVs. The limit is 35 feet.

Another fun spot is Aztec Ruins, easy paved access, with fascinating ruins as well, including a fully restored "Kiva", or great room, from ancestral pueblo times. Just a mile off the main road of US 550.

Aztec Ruins National Monument (U.S. National Park Service)

Have a fun trip! Hope that helps...

As stated, it's an easy flat drive.
