US 61 N from St.Louis thru Hannibal

Hi All:

Just looking for info concerning driving conditions of Rt. US 61 heading N. from West side of St. Louis and up through Hannibal into Iowa. Have never taken this route and we're heading North on Fri. 5/30 for a short summer visit. (Driving 31 ft. gasser motorhome towing car.)

Also interested in any of your suggestions/recommendations for stop over campgrounds along this route.

Thanks for any help.

Steve & Lynette
