Ken-

Happily for you, the Mountain Directory Web site has as its demo the state of Arizona. Here's the link. It addresses Route 93 on sheets 7 (map) and 27 (write-up).

I liked the directory, so bought electronic versions of East and West.

Nice thing about today's computers is one can Google Map the route they want to take and actually look at the roadway in Satellite mode and then get down onto the roadway in Street View.

In your case Google search Kingman to Phoenix and the map will appear showing the best route in blue with some alternates in gray. Switch to satellite view and zoom in to view the roadway as a bird would see it. Click on the yellow figure and drag it to the roadway to get down onto the road and view the road as if you were driving on it.

I use Google Maps a lot when going to new places to see what the road looks like before I get there.

US 93 Kingman AZ to Phoenix

93 is a nice road that has been improving over the years. Is it a mix of 2 and 4 lanes with construction last time (3-4 yrs ago) that I drove it. 4 lanes at most steeper grades and newer bridges. Shouldnt be a problem. For construction and traffic anywhere in AZ, check out www.az511.com.

We drove that route just a little over a year ago but in the reverse on the way back home, 32 footer towing and had no problem with it at all.

Thanks. Have that book. Used it all the time.
It doesn't mention 2 and 4 lane, but I got my answers
