Utah/Arizona Route 89

Does anyone out there have any experience or information about Route 89 from Bryce Canyon to Flagstaff? We would be going in a 35 foot motor home and towing our Fusion. It seems the best way to get back to I-40 on our way to Dallas.

I was all over that area a few weeks ago and traveled 89. You'll hit a few 5-6% grades but nothing you can't handle in. 35' MH.

Thanks for that info. We'll probably go for it and see some new territory.

US-89 from Brice Canyon to Flagstaff, to me is rather uneventful and boring. Unless it is wintertime when conditions can change at the drop of a hat.

Whatever you do, don't try to pick up Alt. 89 at Knab, south through Fredonia and on to Marble Canyon, back to US 89. This is a really cool beautiful route, but good Lord are there ever some steep up and down grades on that route. I'd love to go back on a motorcycle, but not so much at near 40 tons and 75 feet long...
