We'll be leaving the LA area in early November, and would like to swing up through Utah to see Bryce Canyon, Zion, Arches, etc. and are wondering about the chances of running into wintry conditions there. Whaddaya think ?

Bryce has seen snow already this year but has since melted and warmed up. Zion and Arches should be amazing that time of year.

Be sure to stop in St. George and spend some of that hard earned money, we could use it. :-)

St. George is a beautiful town. If you're an Elk, they have a great spot for RV's. We came home thru Utah in March last year and found most State and Local parks still closed for the winter. Those that were open were on very limited amenities. The state and local park websites gave pretty good info on closures, but some required some careful reading to see their status. I would expect the National Parks to be somewhat limited in November also. Search the parks you want to see and check before you go.

You can stay at the Canyonlands RV Park (private rv park, full hook-ups, and open all year I believe) in downtown Moab, UT. It is about 5 miles from Arches NP and 20-30 from Canyonlands NP. We stay there once a year and like it. The sites are close together but the location makes up for it.

We just left Utah Sunday. Most nights were in the high 20's and low 30's. Days were nice. Most of the campgrounds were getting ready to close. We stayed at Ruby's in Bryce and they were getting ready to close. We passed on Arches, figured it would just be that much colder farther north. Zion, Bryce and capitol Reef were amazing. North Rim was far better than the South Rim and 89a was a great drive. We are at Buckskin Mountain SP at Parker Az leaving for home Thursday.

We are in Hurricane Utah right now and it is great. 40s at night and 70s in the day. We have made two trips to Zion the last few days and weather is fine. Shuttles are still running until last of this month. Everything still green right now. Good Luck, have fun
