We're planning on crossing the MS River at Vicksburg on I-20 either Thursday or Friday (May 12th or 13th). Anyone in that area that could advise the probability of being able to use I-20 from Shreveport, LA to Jackson, MS due to the flooding in that area??? Thanks

the bridge over the river is an easy 200 feet in the air...
however the road leading up to it might be flooded or closed, and the LA side at the exits is LOW like just under the levee
check with mississippi dot for road and bridge closures.

We live in Vicksburg. The flooding is not affecting I-20.

Here is a link to the Corps Vicksburg District web site with update to date info on the flooding in the area.

Note: There is road construction between Vicksburg and Jackson for about 6 miles, one lane each direction.
