So Bob, are you going straight to Texas or still stopping in Mena first? I believe I would go I40 either way, then drop down around Memphis and either go to Mena or down toward Dallas and across. I10 to me is way too far south during the early part of the trip and not direct enough, that is unless its snowing.

You might take a look at Mapquest for another idea.Mapquest

Hey Tom, THANKS!!

That actually might work better as I could run from here to Wilmington and stop at Howard RV,then jump back on 40 and head West.....NICE!!

Let me ponder that one...

Bob,

I just made that trip three weeks ago. I-40 is the way to go. Then to Little Rock and Texarkana.

We usually stay at Cloud 9 outside Hot Springs, AK which is a Passport America CG. Very nice with big pull through sites. The road going up to the CG is steep and a bit twisty but I think you can make it. Just obey the "swing wide" signs.

Very clean restrooms and great views of the hillsides which should be gorgeous for the next couple of weeks.

Some very good restaurants in Hot Springs.

Enjoy.
