We are planning a trip in August taking us to West Glacier. From there we plan to return south using US 93 stopping at Stanley, ID. Has anyone taken tis route and able to report on road conditions and elevation gains?

Drove north from Rye to West Glacier in a 30 ft Class C on US 93 with no problem. Drove back south but headed west on 28 from Flathead Lake. That route was "okay"....

93 is a fun road with lots of sights along the way. No problems for us in our 43' MH.

We drove north on 93 this last spring and the road was in great condition including over Lost Trail Pass. We turned off on Hwy 12 down over Lolo about 6 miles south of Missoula so cant comment on the road north of there. Enjoy the ride and the views.
