I am going to travel from west of Nashville to Bull Shoals State Park in Arkansas. I know AR roads can be a bit winding and twisting for a motorhome and toad. My map program is routing me over 412 in AR through paragould and hardy. Anyone know this road?

You do not need to go through Paragould, I assume you will come I-40 to Memphis, if so cross into W. Memphis and take I-55 north to the Jonesboro exit; go through Jonesboro to Hoxie and then 63/412 to Hardy, AR then 62 to Mountain and you are very close to Bull Shoals; from there it is a selection of where in Bull Shoals area you want to go. You will have 4-lane roads all the way to Hoxie and the condition should be good.
The drive from Hoxie (where I was raised BTW) to Mountain Home should prove to be quite pleasant the roads are mostly two lanes but are nice and wide; we were there in our 40' Phaeton a couple of years ago and the roads were very good.
We spent many years going to Norfork Lake near Mountain Home when our kids were younger; I taught all four to water ski there and we bought our first RV for those visits. That all started nearly 35 years ago.

Thank you!! I will not be going to Memphis. I will take 412 from Jackson, TN to Dyersburg. This is a very good 4 lane hwy. Then I will cut over to I55. The rest of the trip is as you say. I feel better about taking the roads. I used to live in Kansas City and vacationed a lot in NW Ar, but not familiar with NE.
Thanks again!

Most of those counties through there are dry so stock up ahead of time. I think Paragould is your last resort.

I flew down to Mountain Home and that's where I took my Instrument check ride for the FAA. Great bunch of people. Of course, that was 1981. Some guy named Junior was my check pilot and he raised chickens for a living.
There's also a fellow that does the fogged window repair North of Little Rock. I have an appointment for mid April. They say he's good. Can't think of the name.
Got it RV Fog Doctor- 2210 Dodge Ave - Searcy, AR 72143

I got my ticket in Jonesboro where I lived many years. I was co founder of the EAA Chapter there small then but is quite large now. I've often wondered why it grew so much after I left surely that wasn't the catalyst.
