If you want to do the Silverton-Durango steam train ride (figure a day for this) you should get reservations months ahead of time.

I would do Moab after Durango,,all in the four corners, Silverton, Oury and Mesa Verde all good options. US 550 NW out of Abq puts u in Durango and the heart of the four corners
