When is the weather safe to go thru the Rocky mountains?

All indications point to there is not a "No Propane" restriction on recreational vehicles passing through Eisenhower Tunnel.

My personal observation is I have seen many RV's passing through the tunnel with propane containers intact. You will be OK.

I highly, highly advise travelling the stretch of I70 from Glenwood Springs west to Denver (or reverse) during the day. If you don't travel it during the day, you will miss some absolutely spectacular scenery.

We made that drive last year in our SUV on the way home from a funeral trip to Pennsylvania (too much driving to fast for the RV - a 5th wheel at the time). I agree that Glenwood Canyon was spectacular. We were amazed at the engineering that went in to the road.

In fact, that drive inspired us to make a future trip to the Rockies including Glenwood Canyon in the RV.

I've never heard or seen anything regarding a propane restriction in the tunnel. The only thing I'm aware of is HW carriers have to take Hwy 6 around the tunnel. I plan on driving my MH through the tunnell again in two weeks as I travel to Moab for the I don't remember how many times.
