Hi
We are staying in BC right at the border with Washington at the
Pacific Border RV park. I have been told that the best crossing is at the Peace Arch Crossing which is a few miles away. Is there really any difference between using that crossing or the Hwy 15 crossing right beside where we are staying

If all you are doing is crossing the border, there should be no difference. The one you are at is called the Pacific truck crossing and can be a bit less busy at times as compared to the Blaine crossing. (Peace Arch)

We prefer smaller border crossings such as the one north of Lynden WA on WA539/BC13. I think Peace Arch is way too crowded in a car, let alone a motorhome.

Lynden/Aldergrove crossing is not open 24 hours. It opens at 8:00am. Can be a pain if you are trying to get an early start. Pacific crossing shouldn't be bad during the week (mon to thurs) but will get busier on weekends.

The biggest snag with the highway 15 crossing is that it's where all the airport shuttle and tour buses cross. With 40 or more people on each one, they can take a while.

The Peace Arch crossing southbound gets messy from early afternoon on, after the trans-Atlantic flights show up at YVR around lunchtime. Last time I came through, at about 15:00 on a Friday afternoon in August of last year, it took four hours to get the 5 miles from the start of the line-up to being on the Washington side.

I live near Peach Arch, all I can say is, don't cross here. Most of the Canadians use this crossing to come down and buy their milk, 6 jerry cans of gas, and anything else they can cram in the vehicle. A very busy place so use the truck crossing. The US border guards are much friendlier.
