I85 is your only choice, unless you want to see a whole lot of Carolina and Georgia back country. Since you live in the Charlotte area, you know when not to travel I85.

Hi GaryKd ,

I live in Hudson MA. We'll be visiting family in Charlotte. When is the time not to travel 185?

Thanks for your help.

Your family can give you the current times. I also have family just North of Charlotte and have traveled the I77 route many times, through the Charlotte area. I travel the I85 route when we are in the coach. I put the coach at Fleetwood CG at the Lowes motoer speedway. If you have no place to put the coach, check this CG out. Unless it is a race week, it is very reasonable.

Back to your question, from about 6:30AM throught 9 AM and from aboput 3:45 PM through 7 PM at night. It's the same for any large metro area. When the locals are in their commute, one does not want to be on the road at the same time.
