Winnemucca, NV to Redwoods National Park, CA

Has anyone drove the route from Winnemucca, NV to Redwoods National Park, CA area? It sounds like it would be a great trip but not sure if it is appropriate for a 40 foot motorhome towing a minivan? We’re thinking about it for this fall – late September into early October.

Appreciate your thoughts.

The Winnemuca to the sea highway is a good ride. Don't plan on services between Winnemucca and Lakeview, though. Sailplanes are popular on the bluff about halfway between these two 'cities.' You might find livestock on the road. Grades aren't bad.

The Klamath Falls to Medford route will slow you down a bit and I don't know about getting over to the coast. You might consider 97 down to 299 as a possible alternate although 299 out of Arcata is a challenge for some folks.
