Winter out west

We are planning to spend our winter out west. The first timely stay will be around Mesa area. I am wondering if rt#40 would be a route to take around the middle of Nov. Normally here in lower Mi. the weather isn't to bad. Having never traveled that area not sure of a route to take. We would appreciate some advice from the folks that travel west. Looking for RV parks too!

You need to watch ...

Stearn ...

My best advice is to plan several different routes ... and watch your favorite version of weather.com daily ... then plan your next days travel accordingly.

We travel to Yuma from Wisconsin most winters ... this winter we changed our intended route twice to avoid an advancing winter storm in early December ...

I-40 climbs to nearly 7000 feet as it nears Flagstaff ... I have friends who were snowed in at Williams because of an early snowstorm ...

The stretch from Williams to Flagstaff bears a close watch of weather forecasts that time of year, but do-able.

I would prefer to stay down around I-10. Much less chance of running into bad weather.
