Wondering road conditions RT. 69 in Oklahoma

Hi, wondering if anyone can tell me the road condition/s for route 69 north bound through Oklahoma. Traveling from San Antonio to Kansas City. Trying to see more country rather than driving on Rt. 35. Thanks

Many if not most if not all states maintain a Dept. of Transportation with a website listing current road condtions and a phone line to call. I've been on a couple of those sites and while not always easy to navigate or having complete information for every road it may be a good beginning point for you. HTH.

Lots of improvements the last couple of years. Still a few miles that are rough. We live in McAlester and drive it often. The area south of Eufaula 6-8 miles and north of Pryor 10 miles. Seems to me the northbound side is worse than the southbound side.

I can't say about the improvements, becuase I stopped traveling that route 4 - 5 years ago. I felt that it was about the roughest stretch of highway I have ever been on, from Sherman to Pryor, and it meant going through DFW. We travelled that route two time each year, going to a race north of Springfield, MO. We discovered a western route up 281 all the way to Jacksboro. It gets you around DFW and OKC. Let me know if you want, and I will give you the entire route.

Thank you for your input, maybe we'll stay off 69.

69 is a smaller road with an unusually high number of tractor trailers that use that route to get to/from drw and KC which wears out the road much quicker.
