I say go at your own risk and it would be better if traveling with other RVer's.
That place is Playa Bonita. A parking lot for $35 a night. To the right is a public beach for $10/night. To the left at the end of the resorts is the reef RV park. Much better, quieter, great restaurant. Sometimes they open the beach at the reef for $5/night. There is a guy who delivers Tamales( or whatever you want) right to your door. I am researching beaches to the north and south on my next trip. Be careful in rocky point, I fell safer in Tijuana.
