Year long rv tour

Probably late spring 2020 we are planning on a tour through many states. Our starting place is Tacoma Wa., we are thousand trails members but know they are not every where so does anyone have other recommendations on other park groups going across country. We will head east, eventually on east coast up in Maine before fall then kind of zig zag down to S Carolina across to Texas again zig zagging. We plan on many stops of up to a week or more then use toad to see everything.
Thank you

Welcome to IRV.

I hope you enjoy the tour you are planning. Best of luck and safe travel.

Sounds awesome.

I would suggest using Campgroundreviews.com but you only want park groups and CR does each individual park whether part of a group or not.

I would recommend RVTripWizard as you can select which groups you are interested in and it will display only those. I am not sure if Allstays has the same option.

Whenever we plan a trip, of any length, we look for Thousand Trails, Passport America, Good Sam, and KOA - in that order.

We spend 5 weeks on the road this summer - 5 nights of which were in Passport America parks. Those 5 nights alone saved us $182 because Passport America gives you a 50% discount at member parks.

Some of the PA parks are somewhat less than perfect, but then some of the Thousand TRails parks are somewhat less than perfect as well!

If you're 62+ get your Senior Pass which will give you 1/2 off camping at many national parks, national forest campgrounds, Corp of Engineer parks, etc. and free entrance to the parks.

We are planning a similar trip, but starting from FL in April, going across the South through TX and then north & west to BC , across Canada to Nova Scotia and then south. Planning to be back in FL in November.
We had a free 1 yr membership for Thousand Trails/Encore this year but were not thrilled with any of the parks we stayed at. We prefer COE parks, national parks, and state or provincial parks in that order. Comercial parks just cram you in and we seldom use the pool or cable. We have our own wi-fi.

A long term vacation can be stressful, make sure you are mentally prepared.
