Yellowstone/Grand Teton Routes

We are making our first trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton this summer. We will be traveling from Spearfish to Gardiner to start with. My question is what is the best route from Gardiner to West Yellowstone and then from West Yellowstone to Jackson Wy? We will be in a 40' pusher with toad. Thanks in advance for feedback.

Unless you want to backtrack up to Bozeman from Gardner, you will be traveling through the park (YNP) from Gardner to West Yellowstone. There really is no other way. Then back through the park from WY to Jackson by going out the South Entrance. You can go from WY down through Eastern Idaho and over to Jackson. Could be faster depending on what month you are doing it.

Correct. The best way is right through Yellowstone park, exit the south entrance on US 191 which takes you straight into Grand Teton National Park. It won't be fast, but the view will be fabulous.

Enter and leave Yellowstone early morning and you'll have a better time of it - less traffic and more animals.
