Yosemite, Glacier Point Route

Mariposa to El Portal to Glacier Point or
Mariposa to Oakhurst to Glacier Point?
The difference is only 11 miles....
Which way is best in a 35' Class A?
Yes I know all the restrictions of a 35' MH at Glacier Point so please don't lecture..... I have my reasons for asking.....

We have a 35' DP and have done both ways several times with no issues either way. Speeds and curves will probably make the longer route take an extra :30. El Portal route has a short section of only one lane that could add a few minutes. We also only went as far as the Glacier Point turnaround point for long vehicles which coincides with the Taft/Sentinel trail heads which were our destinations anyway. I'm not sure why the restriction as the buses run up that way all day long.

Mariposa to El Portal to Glacier Point. The backup on the Oakhurst route at the Ranger station is usually a time consuming affair.
