12 volt lights

The dome lights in the front cargo area, hallway and bedroom do not work, appears that are on one circuit.

I had a 12v Dometic freezer/cooler plugged into the cigarette plug in the front bay, checked fuses and found a red light on, but checking the fuse it was ok.

Any suggestions ? Need before taking it into the shop.

Ha, been there, done that.
Pull the fuse, throw it as far as you can and put a new one in.

Newer style of fuses actually have an LED in them that glow when the fuse is blown. Makes it easy to tell which one is bad. Available at most places fuses are for sale.

Did all of the above, first noticed the "red" light, pulled fuse, looked OK, inserted new fuse, still no lights ? ? ? ?

I am no expert, but here are a few things I would try.
- Disconnect the wire from the 12 Volt receptacle where you plugged in the cooler.
- Does the red light on your converter box stay on, if yes turn of and then back on shore power and battery power (let it reset in other words)
- If your lights are all led, make sure you have at least 12 Volt going through the fuse, led's have a narrow operating range.

If you have, lets say a 10' 16 awg wire going from the fuse panel to the receptacle in question protected by a 30 Amp fuse the whole wire might have started to melt before the fuse went.
I'm just guessing
