Hi folks,
Me and my wife are preparing for our 1st serious trip in the 5er. May not be much interest to you, but, it is to us.
We have had the fiver for around 9 months, and have done local camping, and ironed out any faults we have come across, which is not many.
So, on 10th Sept, we travel from the Isle of Man, to England, and have two weeks rolling through Cheshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Lincolnshire. A lot of shires there. Visiting family and friends along the way.
On 24th Sept, we catch the 24 hour ferry from Portsmouth, England, to Santander in Spain. We then intend to criss cross through Portugal and Spain and then maybe to Morocco for the winter, calling at Gibraltar on the way.
As spring returns we shall meander northwards through Spain, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium, catching a 90 minute ferry back to Dover UK.
We are looking forward to our first real trip, and hope to spend many days in the sunshine, as opposed to the cold, damp, dismal winter on the Isle of Man.
We will fly back for Christmas, as we have 5 grand children, and the thought of not being with them at this time of year was not on.
So, enough of my ramblings, and we wish you happy travels wherever you maybe.
Craig (UK)
