2 6volt batteries

Okay I know this has been talked about in the past, but I'm getting ready to replace my 1 12volt battery with 2 6volt golf cart batteries from Costco and just want to make sure I got it right.

Take the existing positive and place it on the positive on battery 1
Take the existing negative and place it on the negative on battery 2
Take another battery cable and put it on postive battery 1
Take the other end of this battery cable and put it on negative battery 2

I'm assuming that the converter charger cables are already in place to properly charge both batteries and I shouldn't have to change anything "right". If not, I need to put postive on postive battery 1 and negative on negative battery 2.

Does this sound right

You have an error in what you want to do.
It should read
Positive of Batt 1 to positive of vehicle
Neg of Batt 1 to positive of Batt 2
Neg of Batt 2 to vehicle neg (frame ground)

Connect unused NEGATIVE on battery 1 to unused POSITIVE on battery 2

I was looking at the Trojan batteries also and noticed that the vented battery boxes for sale at most RV stores are too small for them to fit in. Any suggestions on another solution. A trojan T-105 is 10 3/8 Long and according to the vented box size the large box is only 10 Long

This one work? It is a Noco, so you should be able to get it elsewhere also.
