Question 2001 Hitchhikerll

I have a chance to buy a Hitchhiker ll that's a 2001 model. Is that a good choice for a permanent site (not towing), some winter staying, and for $17,000.

Very new to this idea. All advice will be welcomed. Plus it will be in the Asheville nc area. Oh, and I am not a handy person.

On the river.

See how well the underside is insulated.
If you're not handy, don't expect to cheap out when things go out. Properly maintaining an RV is not cheap. Properly maintaining anything is not cheap.

Price seems high to me. We had a 2002 Snowbird, which was the same as HH II. It was nice, good to tow. but check the NADA Bluebook pricing on it.

That is not a trailer for winter use. And at 11 years old, it had better have been maintained meticulously to not have some issues. And I feel the price is too high, also.

I don't have opinion on the price, but Hitchhikers have a good reputation. Search for a NuWa Hitchhiker owner's forum for more info on the specific model you're looking at.
