2005 295RKP Challenger by Keystone

I am looking at a used Challenger and would like to hear about any major problems from owners of the 2005 Challenger. I also would like to know the carrying capacity and the size of the holding tanks. I could not find the Challenger on the Keystone website. Any information will be appreciated.

I did find some specs for a 2006 Challenger at this link and specs for a 2004 Challenger at this link.
The tank sizes are identical for those 2 years so I think the 2005 would be the same.

That is all I can do for you since I am unfamiliar with the unit itself.

Good luck to you!

I have a 2007 KS Challenger purchased used 3 months ago so not sure if my issues apply. I would check the following:
- Make sure spring hangers are straight and that the bottom of the I-beam frame has not bent near the suspension components. (I had to have mine straightened and strengthened and axles realigned.)
- The king pin weight on a 29RKP is quite heavy and measured at 2800 lbs. so I needed to add suspension enhancements to my F250 (Torklift Lower Stableloads, Upper Stableloads equivalent) to improve the ride.
- The rear kitchen configuration bounces a lot (as seen in the mirrors and by stuff getting tossed around in kitchen cabs) so I am planning to add shocks to trailer soon. Not an issue if you learn to pack well and fasten stuff down properly though.
- The landing gear 30A fuse has blown a few times. It may have been a loose connection at the in-line fuse holder since no problems recently after tightening connections.

Other than these few items we are very pleased. Unit is very well built and no issues so far with any major components or original roof.

Good luck!
