2005 Teton Experience
We have been thinking about moving from a MH to a fifth wheel since we will be staying put for longer periods of time. We have found a good deal on a 2005 Teton Experience 33ft. We have also found a great deal on a Ford 450 fully loaded including the tow boss package.
We also know that Teton is no longer in business. Since this is a 2005 I don't think that would be a problem but I wanted to ask your opinions on that???
My wife would personally like to have a kitchen island. This unit does not have one. Is that something that could be added and if so where would you suggest we look since Teton is no longer in business?? I know it would have to be a special made item. Any recommendations??
Thanks for your input and thoughts.

Can't comment on Teton question. If the 450 Ford has a 6.0 engine, there is a lot of unhappy owners. Truck is great. Motor has issues.

In regards to the island; you could take it over to Newmar. I'm sure they would build one for you, but I think any good cabinet maker could build you an island.
Good Luck!

Teton is in business building oil field skid units, likely they could and would build you an island that would match the rest of your trailer. just my 2 cents. Gene

We have a 2004 F550 with the 6.0 Liter engine. Yep, we have had issues.
You should request all of the current owner's repair records so you can judge for yourself (e.g., we keep records of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance here).
We have been generally happy with the truck and would consider a F550 again. But my brother-in-law had so much trouble with his 2004 F550 (welder's truck) that HE will never consider any Ford truck again.

Do a search on the internet for rv cabinets or furniture. There are a lot of companies out there that can provide the island. As far as the Teton they are like all the other RV's, they use the ac's, appliances. furnaces, suspension systems, slide hardware, etc that you find in all of the other rv's. The only thing you wont be able to find is things that are teton specific like the fiberglass body and cabinets. I have had cabinet repair done at camping world for an HR 5er and you cant tell the difference between HR cabinets and CW cabinets. There are plenty of RV shops that do fiberglass work. The only thing you wont have is a Teton warranty.
