2007 Holiday Rambler Presidential Suite

Hello everybody!

I'm looking at a 2007 Holiday Rambler Presidential Suite and wanting any feedback on this brand and model. If anybody knows anything about the quality of these units and what their track record was please feel free to let me know.

I appreciate any negative or positive feedback.

Thank You in advance!

Welcome to iRV2.

I've helped out some fellow snowbirds with problems on their 05/06 Presidential 5ers. Most of the problems are as a result of being stored in AZ all summer.
Nice units , but JMHO the use of Lippert slide drives is the only weak spot I've encountered.
Can't say anything about how the units tow , as both were delivered to the AZ park and haven't moved since; but the folks live 6 months a year in them with very few problems.

What kind of problems do the slides have?

The unit used two different slide drives , depending on the extension of the slide , the short extension slide drive ; Venture series if memory serves , had the replacement gears available for repair , ( $60 up to $150) depending on where you shop. The longer extension drive had no parts available and Lippert the only supplier wanted $650 for the replacement.
Both use a plastic gear inside , that I couldn't find at the time anywhere , ( 3 years ago) but have since found online for $25, still pricy for what should be a $5 item. Luckily the gear failure doesn't effect the manual operation of the slides.
Venture package shown in photo.
