2008 Coachmen Adrenaline electrical problem

I'm having an 220 v 50 amp service problem and could use a little help.
I have a good 220 supply into the trailer which I've traced to a contact switch that splits the service to a 12v switch. The power ends there.
There is a circut board that connects these 2 switches on the supply side. This is where I believe my problem is.
I have 12v power from the batteries and all 12v systems work but I don't have any power to the 12v converter
I also have 1 more problem Forest River bought Coachmen and has no knowledge of Coachmens electrical systems wiring Diagrams or how to obtain parts, They gave me a telephone number which is a recording but you leave a call back number and never get a call back.

I'm not sure what you mean by "contact switch" but if you don't have power TO the converter, look for a circuit breaker that is either 'tripped' OR shut OFF. If 'tripped', you need to push it in the OFF position to 'cock' it before pushing to the ON position.

Your 'high voltage' (120/240vac) should have no direct connection to the 12VDC wiring.

I located the problem, The electro magnet that trips the contact switch that holds the shore power on fried. I couldn't locate the complete switch but a GE supply co in TN had 35 of the magnets in stock, installed the magnet and cleaned the contacts, all is good now.

I think I understand what you were saying.

What you called a "contact switch" is a "Power Relay" or "Contactor"
And the "magnet, as you called it is the "coil". When the coil is energized, (power applied to it) it 'magnetically', pulls the 'contacts' (switch) together.

What 'broke' was the coil. Unless there was a short circuit, the contacts, (which you cleaned) rarely are the problem.
A coil can give up at any time.

In cleaning the contacts, I hope you used a spray 'contact cleaner' and not a file or abrasive material like emery cloth. The contacts are coated with silver and while a small amount of pitting is normal, they should never be filed 'smooth'.

I'm glad you got it workin' again.
