2013 Montana - how good are these units?

I found a 2013 Montana 3402 that has a desk and file cabinet area. It also has a few other features that it like.

But I really do not know much about the Montana line yet. I looked at the frame but could not tell or see all of it since they have it covered up. Are the axles 7,000 lb capacity?

What are the downside of these units?

The people I know that have or had them either loved them or hated them no in-between!

IMHO they look nice but what holds them up is lacking.

I know the Cougar models are not the same as the Montana; but it is still a Keystone product. My biggest complaint is the customer service my decals on the 2010 318SAB are a POS to say the least. The decals started peeling after three years of ownership. I did not expect Keystone to warranty them or pay for the replacement but at least to provide a source of supply. Guess what no answer at all.

There is a Montana Forum and there is a Keystone Forum on the web where you can check them out also.

So when we looked for a replacement I did not even consider a Keystone product. We looked at Heartland, JAYCO, Forest River, Evergreen RV's, and Grand Design RV's.

We ended up purchasing a Forest River Cedar Creek 34RL which fits our needs will. Also it seems that Forest River does have a present on the Forest River Form and holds rally's for owner's of Forest River products to attend in Elkhart IN yearly.

North America's #1 Selling Luxury Fifth Wheel for 14 Consecutive Years. That has to mean something. That being said, they do have issues like any other manufacturer. We have a 2002 Montana and are looking for our "Retirement Rig". Having owned this one for several years I will say that they are in the mix. They have had some frame/suspension issues and their decals peel after a few years. A tad on the heavy side but I think they're pretty solidly built. I won't give you any advice for your next unit but I'd buy another Montana.
