2015 Cedar Creek 38FL

We're looking at purchasing a new, left over Cedar Creek 38FL and am looking for opinions of either Cedar Creek or, specifically, the 38FL.

I've found quite a few good opinions of Cedar Creek in general, including after purchase support. I'm hoping that's indicative of the one I'm in process of purchasing.

We haven't signed yet but everything is lined up for the PDI.

Anyone with first hand experience on the 38FL with a good or bad opinion?

Thanks in advance.

Have owned a CC for 10 years, and honestly if I were replacing with new it is one of two brands I would consider. Factory support is best in the industry. Ours has never been in for a warrenty issue. Repairs? Yea, normal wear and tear items.

We have a 2016 34RL Cedar Creek which has had a few issues with our trailer. Nothing more than any other 5er that is new in my opinion. Our problems have been mainly with the supplier components that are used in the trailer. Such as the Suburban Oven thermocouple failed; waiting on parts. The other issues is LED lights that are used some have failed. These are all being fixed under warranty so no complaint on our part.

We did attend the factory international rally that was held in Goshen IN, this year and we saw some incredible rework being done to 8 and 10 year old trailers free of charge. Forest River replace the TV's, refrigerators, doors, awing's and brake components on these trailers plus other items. Remember these trailers were out of warranty and had been used by their customers who bought them new and now they were being fixed for free.

Thanks very much for the responses. I felt good about the upgrade before but finding more positive posts than negative made me wonder -- that's not usually what the Internet is for!

I didn't check to see how long this one had been on the lot but you can tell it has had a bit of foot traffic (nothing that can't be cleaned). I also noticed several of the LED bulbs that looked "burnt out" which I made them aware of to fix before the PDI.

Hopefully this Saturday I'll have a new 38FL but still time to change my mind.

If your going to buy, put in the deal to get brand new LT tires. They come with really crappy ST tires and will give problems sooner rather than later. Actually, I would insist on 17.5 inch wheels.

If it has been sitting on the lot for awhile, get up on the roof and check its condition. I would make sure they at least cleaned, treated and recaulked it before passing any money across the table.
