2015 Cougar 313 chair tie downs

SO this is our first non bunk model 5er and it has a free standing dinette and 2 recliners. Our servicing dealer is useless and the salesmen would rather stand in the office playing pinball than learn ANYTHING about what they sell!!
Can anyone please post pictures of how you are supposed to tie down the dinette and recliner chairs? We got the unit home after PDI...another joke..and they left everything not tied down!!! I called and they said just strap it however I think they'll stay. Not what I want to do.
Thanks!!
Brad

Don't know what unit you have, but the table/chairs/recliners in our fiver have never moved and been on some really rough roads. May not need to worry.
However, as to the dealer, I would not have bought from someone that disinterested in my questions...
Joe

I suspect you have the 4 chairs for the table - they just are strapped to the table center leg. With that said, since there are only the two of us, we put those extremely uncomfortable chairs in storage, purchased a couple comfortable $60 replacements at a discount store, turned the table 90 degrees and rescrewed to the floor and then just padded the chairs against movement. The two uncomfortable swivel rockers should each have a strap, a pair of rings screwed to the floor for each chair and are held in place the best way you can run that strap. If the dealer has 'conveniently' removed the straps, you can try to convince him he owes you 3 sets. Or you can go to your local big box store and purchase a couple of inexpensive ratchet straps. You may have to make up a loop of some sort for the rear most floor ring as the ratchet falls in the wrong place though. Oh, and our uncomfortable swivel rockers - in storage with those dinette chairs, replaced by some La-z-boy's which are very comfortable. As far as any dings or scratches, none in over 12,000 miles across some of the worst interstates and secondary's in the US and Canada.

Or as noted above, just let them sit free as we did on the previous 5er and those had no damage either though we did pad them somewhat with blankets and throw pillows

I appreciate the feedback. I have purchased 3 trailers at this dealer and have known the owner since I we were kids, so I get trailers just over invoice...it's a constant problem for him to find quality staff in such a seasonal business here so I put up with that, enjoy the wicked deals and use the experts that use them all the time in forums when I have questions .
The recliners in this rig are "rockers" so they move quite a bit and I want to strap them. The dealer didn't remove them so I did it across the arms, I just didn't want to damage the leather. It's more the dinette chairs restraints that I find confusing. It looks like logically you would have put them cross wise so they go over the seats but there is 2 d rings on each side that are between the chairs and are aligned front to back...not sure how to strap 4 chairs when the ties are between then and not across them.

There are locking rings that fit on the base of some recliners that will prevent the rotation and most of the rocking while traveling--not sure where/how to find them.
Sorry about the dealer comment, but you sounded like you were unhappy about the PDI and attention you received.

If the service or sales departments can't or won't help you, maybe the owner can.

No worries Joe I know where you were coming from about the dealer . We did just figure out that if you stack the kitchen table chairs with the top one upside down and turn them so they face sideways then the straps hold them together and in position..score 1 for us haha. The recliners are still a work in progress...the tiedowns hold them but they can still rock and jut the decorative window surrounds. I'll lay one over for a good look and see if there's a lock as suggested.
Thanks again!

We have clips at the bottom of our recliners and I turn them backwards before securing them in place. Seems to work ok.
