I have a 2017 KZ Durango. My first trip out, the air conditioning worked like a charm. Didn't try the heater. I am getting ready to go out next week, and tried starting the heater. Nothing works. I found that the 2amp fuse in thermostat keeps blowing. I realize that this is under warranty, but, I have to drive 70 miles in order to get to my dealer. I was hoping there may be something I can check and correct the problem so I don't need to take it back to the dealer. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you

Furnace fan motor gets power from FUSED circuit in DC Dist Panel
Same DC goes to T-stat
When t-stat calls for Heat that DC goes to furnace circuit board to power the 'timer circuit' -----triggers DC to motor, motor runs for 30-90 seconds for purge and to make up sail switch.

Sounds like short in wire to circuit board or circuit board 'blower' circuit is bad.

I take it the t-stat 2A fuse blow immediately when t-stat makes contact (goes 'click')?

What furnace BRAND/MODEL??

Yes. Fuse blows as soon as I turn switch. I'll have to get the furnace info in the morning. All the paper work is in the trailer.

The furnace is a Suburban. Not sure of the model number. The book covers numerous model numbers. The thermostat is a Coleman Mach. I played around with the thermostat today and found that if the thermostat is set to air conditioning, everything works as expected. However, if I set the thermostat to heat and start to slide the temperature lever, then the internal fuse blows. Any thoughts?

Same thoughts as above......

Short .....either in wire from t-stat to furnace or short on furnace circuit board (blower section)
