I haven't really needed my 4 wheel drive for traction when pulling my fifth wheel. But I like low range when in 4x4 low and I have used that a couple of times . once to get the fiver up a steep hill and another time to creep slowly down another steep hill .

Not for the 5er in my case. But required to get up my driveway in the winter, even with 1000 lbs of gravel at the tailgate.
