3500 B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch

My 5th wheel camper rides about 2 or 3 inch higher than I would like,
is there shorter legs for this hitch to lower the camper or any other ideals
I have a trail-air pinbox on the camper no way to lower it to help.

yes I believe I have them all the way down on the lowest setting.

If you have the legs of that B&W down all the way, you may be in trouble with bed side interference if you go lower. A 'fix' is to raise the trailer by installing an Over/Under axle mod where you place the trailer axles under the springs to reduce the nose high attitude I believe you are most likely describing. This mod will raise the entire trailer about 5 inches. There are a couple of drawbacks - that higher first entry step and possibly some trailer instability, though on two I've done for us, not seen that problem.

Maybe you just worded it wrong or I do not understand properly about your pinbox not being able to "be lowered" to help, but you actually would need to raise it to a higher setting in the frame order to make the 5th wheel sit lower on the hitch when hooked up....ie...pinbox needs to be moved up closer inside the 5er frame.

I would not be in a hurry to raise the trailer but modifying the axles.

If your trailer frame is made by Lippert, then they already have a lacklustre spring hanger configuration; where side loading can bend the spring hangers and in turn put fatigue cracks in the I-beam rails.
When you extend or put mods on the springs increasing their length you are in turn increasing the moment/twisting action on the spring hangers. This can have catastrophic results.

Try to resolve your ride height issues at the pin box.

It may be 2-3 higher than you would like, but is the trailer level? How far is it above the bed rails?

If you don't want to modify the suspension you might want to consider changing the pin box. Good luck.

What truck do you have? Your signature says a Ford but clicking on your avatar it shows a Ram Dually. Does your truck sit level or high when hitched to your trailer?

Rich1961, I have a 2014 Dodge DRW 6.7 long bed CC,
and a 2008 Mobile Suite 5th wheel now, and having trouble changing
my picture in my signature. I uploaded it and it say it is to big I don't under stand?

If your truck still sits higher in the back when hitched to the trailer, you may be able to lower the rear of the truck. Some people have removed the 3 spacers between the axle and the main springs, and relocated the spacers to the top of the springs to get a drop in the rear of the truck of about 2".

Your other alternative would be to replace the pin box on your trailer to one that will drop the nose of the trailer more. I have the Reese 5th Airborne on my Arctic Fox ,and it is in the center position with the Companion set at 1" below the highest setting, and have 6" of clearance between the bed rails and 5th wheel. I'm just slightly nose high on the trailer.
