Honda eu7000is, Quiet & Powerfull.

I recently purchased a Honda eu7000is Inverter Gen Set, it is a dual circuit generator with 220 volt capability. With the purchase of a specialized Y-adapter cord that allows you to plug into both 120 volt circuits of the generator you can supply the 50amp service that you need to run your entire electrical system just like you are plugged in at a park service. I have 40 foot Montana 5er and this new gen set will run everything I want it to, and yes it will run both a/c units and the microwave at the same time with power to spare. It's very quiet 60db at full load, 52db at partial load so the neighbors won't even know you are there. All this power and low noise is great but it doesn't come cheap, $4,500.00 is the going price, every few months Camping world will put them on sale for $4,000.00 with free shipping to your home. 3 year factory warranty is standard but I don't know anyone that has had to use it. NOTE: The good people at Honda Power Products tell me that the R&D guys will have wireless remote start/stop available by early 2016.

Progressive has something called a cheater. I've used one with a 3k genny to join 2 120 to get a 30 amp socket, then plugged in a 30-50 amp adapter to plug into my rig's 50 amp socket.

Purchased one from Camping World and a better one from Northern Tool & Equipment.

B&S is now making inverter gensets. We are looking at two 3k's parralleled together. Been comparing it with the honda 3k handi. It seems the same except the honda can't be parralleled. And the B&S is cheaper.

I think the Honda 3000i has a companion 3000i and can be paralleled. The 3000is can not.

The 2000 Honda companion can be paralleled, but not the 3000 series.

Sorry, just looked at Honda gen website, must be new feature for Honda 3000. The b&s 3000 gens are almost identical to the Honda 3000 handi in every aspect. Except they won't break the bank.
