This is a 20000 (Model 40RLTSO) 5th wheel

When I open my two big living room slides, they seem to crunch the facia boards at the floor. (By facia, I mean the front trim that goes around the top and two sides of each slide.) When I look under the slides from the outside of the trailer, I can see where the sheet metal is somewhat smashed (compressed). The rollers appear to be in-tact. I've tried cutting 1/4" off the bottom of the affected trim piece; but over time, it seems to continue "sinking". One slide's side now settles in below the main floor level. Anyone else experience this problem? Suggestions? Thanks - Joe

It really sounds to me like there is a major structural problem. Might be time to either make arrangements at the factory or find a good repair shop and have them diagnose and fix the root cause of the problem.

I agree with, 450Donn. Sounds like either roller brackets or the slide arms are not functioning right! I'd take it to a dealer or factory to have it looked at for sure!

Our fiver was doing something like that, on the bedroom slide. The floor to the slide had gone bad from water getting in around the seal. I had to take it back to the factory in Winchester, Va. They took care of it and also put in a third roller. So far so good !!!

I think Tom is on target. This isn't just a poor fit of the fascia trim around the slide house, but something is progressively getting worse. An obvious possibility is a failing floor due to water damage.
