5er step entry lighting

my 5ver has no light around the step area, exiting/entering at night is not a ood situation. Looking to see what creative solutions others have done to solve this problem.

Some of the issues I see are
#1 getting 12v power to this location, wire harness management
#2 what type of light fixture?
#3 how to turn it on/off, it would be nice for both inside and outside switches

I have two solar lights that I attached some magnets to the base. I stick them on the sides of the steps. They light up the whole area around the steps. We also have 3-4 more that we place around the campsite near a stump or rock. We don't turn on our outside lights at night as we like the darkness.
Probably not what you're looking for but just throwing it out there. FWIW our solar lights last about 2-3 seasons. We buy the cheap $2.50-3.00 ones. It's free lighting. I just place then in the truck bed in the morning before a trip and they're ready to go for that night. Then they charge themselves at the CG. Cheap and super simple.
