5th wheel fender repair
Where is the best place to get fender/metal work repaired on my 5th wheel? Have some damage from those cheap china bomb tires ripping apart on the interstate.
Thanks, Scott
BTW.. I have an Evergreen BayHill 379FL and the company is no longer in business.

I just dropped my unit off for the same repair... I've found a guy who pulls them off.. has a local light metal shop fab a new one out of aluminum, he paints it to match the rest of the RV and installs it.... at about 1/3 of the price of the dealer ordering one... and paying the shipping from the factory... (think of the freight on a 18" x 24" x 12 ft long box common carrier... the freight is more than the value of the metal....
Are you by any chance close to WA state?... BTW my guy just happened to be in the path we drive all the time... so for me it was just to stop by and ask... I switched to Michelin LT tires BTW....

I have been wanting to do that to my Alpha for a while. I also replaced the tires and wheels, the weld on the wheel was leaking.

I had a tire failure on a Cougar some time ago that took out the side of the trailer.I had the dealer fix the damage trailer, all of the repair cost was covered by my insurance carrier. The trailer was on the road again in less then 6 weeks after dropping the trailer off for repair.

I was just up in Knoxville and noticed a place east of Knoxville about 15 miles that had motorhomes and 5th wheels. It was not a sales place for sure and looked like a service center. I no its not much help but I tend to log those places away in my little brain. Anyway its north side of I-40 can't miss it if you happen to be in the area. Sorry I couldn't get a name.

If you're going to the Smokies, leave your trailer at Tennessee RV on the I-40/Kodak exit (to Pigeon Forge) on your way home. It's about 180 miles from home.
They're a really good (and popular) RV dealership.
But be prepared for your trailer to sit for quite sometime as they (and many RV body shops) take on more work than they can quickly turnover.
Another suggestion s to talk to your insurance company's adjuster to see if he has a good quality RV body shop closer to home.
